Have fun guessing where this is. Specifically. If necessary, I will start giving little hints after awhile. But let's see how it goes.

Introducing...Picture Puzzles
Because I love mysteries so much, I thought it would be fun to add another kind of mystery to my blog. So here it is. I've named these "Picture Puzzles" because...you guessed it--they're pictures. (Way to go, Sherlock.) It will start with a small portion of a photo, and every day, I will add a little more until someone figures out what/where it is. You can guess by adding a comment to the post that started that particular picture puzzle, or you can email me and I will post on my blog saying how brilliant you are for figuring it out first. The first portion of the photo will appear in that day's post and also in the sidebar section labeled "Picture Puzzle." After that, the picture will only appear in the sidebar section and will simply be expanded every day until someone figures it out. Okay, here's photo #1:

Is this someplace everyone would know. It's not going to be some regional campground known only to locals. Because I see the rock and I see what looks like shrubs, and maybe it's some kind of grotto. Or a cave. That is my guess. A grotto.
ReplyDeleteI guess somewhere in Colorado. I'll narrow down my guess as I get to see more of the photo.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a famous place. No, it's not a cave or a grotto. No, it's not in Colorado.
ReplyDeletePao de Acucar in Rio
ReplyDeleteHow I wish I knew what that was. I have never been to South America. Keep watching the photo. By the way, it IS in the U.S.
ReplyDeleteBig Sur? Monterey? Carmel???
ReplyDeleteOoooh! Ooooh! You're so close! Actually, you're technically already correct, but can you name the famous thing itself?
ReplyDeletethe lone weeping willow? The lone redwood? No! I have it! The Lone Cypress. :)
